Beiyao Ji, piano

 

A native of Sichuan, China, Beiyao Ji has won several competition prizes, including the top prizes of the HongKong – Asia Open Piano Competition, the Torrance Symphony Orchestra and the BrentwoodWestwood Symphony Orchestra concerto competitions. He was also the recipient of the AMRON Sutherland Fund Scholarship in 2016, and the 2021 Bridge Funding Fellowship from the University of Miami. Beiyao has given recitals in Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Japan, USA, Canada and China. He has also appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Colburn Orchestra, conducted by Miguel HarthBedoya, the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra, and the Torrance Symphony Orchestra. Beiyao Ji earned his Bachelor of Music from the Colburn School and his Master of Music and Artist Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music. He is currently pursing Doctor of Musical Arts degree with a full scholarship at the Frost School of Music of University of Miami under the guidance of Kevin Kenner
